What is Therapy?

Individual One-to-One counseling helps clients put their pieces of the puzzle together by:

  • Identifying what is causing the problem in your life
  • Understanding how the problem originated if that seems helpful or important
  • Understanding why and how the problem is interfering with life
  • Finding solutions to the problem and making changes to improve your functioning in daily life
  • Formulating strategies which lead to more positive attitudes, perspective and behaviors

I believe the solutions to these problems lie within you and that we all have the inner capacity to achieve healing. I trust the proven effectiveness of client centered therapy, a process in which you set your own goals for the progress, and then we work together to achieve them.
